Flexible beatgrids are not working properly at least not as I understand them. I have a track that bounces back and forth between two different bpms. I place an anchor on the first downbeat of the song and set the bpm. When I place my anchor where the BPM shifts it is affecting the bpm to the left of the anchor (aka the earlier portion of the track). Correct me if I’m wrong but once you place another anchor it should only affect the track to the right of the anchor. This is happening both on the unit (Prime 4) as well as on the desktop software (Mac). This is a fairly major bug IMHO. Does anyone have a reliable method for beatgridding multi-bpm tracks?
No
Changes made after an anchor does not affect part of the track before the anchor
Dropping downbeat markers/anchor itself can cause bpm changes to the track section before the new anchor.

SOLUTION: Turns out I was being too stingy with my anchors. I was trying to place them only where the bpm changed but needed to place one on the final bar of the previous BPM. Being more liberal with my use of anchors fixed the problem.

Correct. You need to lock the left side with an anchor. That means the last correct beat of the previous section needs an anchor.
