File Unavailable on Explicit Tracks - Apple Music

Hi All. I’m having an issue on my Prime 4+ where each time I select an explicit track in Apple Music and try and load it up, it “downloads” very quickly and then throws a Failed to Load Track. File Unavailable Error. I’ve logged a ticket with support and just going through the process at the moment. Anyone come across this before? All other non explicit tracks download and play normally. I’m guessing there is a content restriction getting in the way somewhere but I can’t see anywhere on my Apple account that has restrictions on.

Click the source button at the top right of the screen then the cog on Apple music. You can then toggle explicit on or off.

Thanks, I already had explicit selected there. I changed to Clean and I get a different error when trying to select an explicit track “File not available on AppleMusic” when I try and load the track.

When I have explicit selected, the track can be loaded, downloads quickly but then throws the File Unavailable Error. Unfortunately I can’t upload an image showing the error because I am a new user.

I just tried loading Eminem Slim Shady and it played with the explicit lyrics.

Maybe check your Apple Music settings on the web page as well?

Thank you, I can play the explicit song directly from Apple Music on my Mac using my account but there is something up with my account when I try and go into Manage from Apple Music, I am getting a cannot connect error so perhaps there is something else going on. I will do some more digging.

Could it be related to the stability issues AWS has been having today? IIRC Apple Music was down earlier and Tidal has been spotty today.

Nah, I don’t think so. This has been happening for the last couple of weeks. I’ll see what support come back with, I’ve resolved my Apple account issue, checked content restrictions (which are off) but unfortunately still have the issue.

IDK, there must have been plenty of cursing at the Ashburn datacenter today during the outage
