Im heading home to check the locks on my front door because im now convinced someone from Reloop has been snooping around my DJ room for design ideas, they literally couldn’t have designed it any better for my setup, the USB hub built in and PD port for laptop charging is next level.

All that you need is to replace that small fiddly ground screw with a fatter one and it’s perfect. Nice job from Reloop since inmusic is too focused on pushing it’s own software, hope they make a killin’ on this little box.

Yeah and even then mine will be static once installed so ill just use a flathead screwdriver to tighten it.

The USB connections are fantastic, weren’t we just discussing that very subject on this forum recently about power delivery to a computer/ipad through the hardware? Amazing how a company like Reloop have their finger firmly on the pulse with this stuff.

Been to Phase One this evening and pre ordered :eyes:

£359 U.K. price with Serato DJ Pro and DVS unlock included, absolute bargain.

Hmm is that Flux with a silent “L” ?

Serato boxes… the loyalty enforcer alternative to monthly subscriptions.

Class Compliant in this case though, and works with Traktor, Algoriddim straight out the box. This is a winner from Reloop here.

Edit: make that RB and VDJ working too, this thing is a true workhorse.

Seeing loads of complaints about the price, what does everyone else think? £349 is a bargain as far as im concerned for a powerful bit of kit.

Some people saying its $699 in the US? surely incorrect that?

£349 would be a lot if it was a simple 2 deck box like the denon. But with the additional features (3 decks, USB power, hub etc), it seems reasonable.

Yeah i agree, and it comes with the Serato Pro and DVS pack unlock, which at today’s prices essentially makes it free.

Hey Guys! I’m dreaming of a new Denon controller / Centerpiece that will compete with the new XDJ-AZ.

I had an idea with dedicated knobs for STEMS, so for fun I did a fantasy mockup picture of a Prime4+ and LC6000’s combined. I also realised it would be nice to finally have dedicated buttons for Engine Lightning on the unit. So with extra knobs for STEMS the mixer had to be wider, so I ended up with this Ultra Wide Display that can show Browser, DJ performance UI and Lighting UI / Touch FX at the same time.

Changes from P4+

  1. LC6000 players with new location for SLIP, REV and Vinyl.
  2. Source button for Streaming, Laptop, Flash-drives & Build-in SSD.
  3. High-Res Ultra Wide Display
  4. Dedicated knobs for STEMS and EQ
  5. Slicer button is replaced with STEMS.
  6. Smart Auto Cue - toggle button
  7. Crossfader curve switch - new location
  8. Thinner level meter is moved between the knobs
  9. Moved the fx screen in-between the buttons and knobs
  10. New Lightning button - W - Click for single flash or hold for Blinder, 4 consecutive clicks on beat for Strobe. click again to toggle off. (I’m excited about this one)
  11. New Lightning button - L - Hold for Light Shift for all other Lightning functions.

How do you like it? How would you improve it?

The Prime 4+ already competes with it, nothing new needed when you look at the feature set of both devices.

Also that mock up looks like it would need its own vehicle to take it to gigs, so not for me, anything over 10kg and it starts getting into silly levels.

-Small displays above the performance pads -Sound card for DVS

Yeah, then XDJ-AZ is also too heavy with its 13,5 kg. I’m thinking “Prime Center/Eight/Beast” is for installation, instead of AZ or 3000 setup. RANE Four 8kg for mobile-DJ’n is perfect for me.

I have a Prime 4+ and it doesn’t compete with AZ. I think it’s very few who will buy P4+ over AZ today, especially for installation.

Why doesnt it compete with the AZ? please tell us specifically what is not competing.

Outside of ‘oooooooh new shiny shiny’, im failing to see what makes the Prime 4+ unable to compete with it.

Interesting concept

The deck part is what many people expect I think. The mixer part seems to me a little too fanciful, the double section of EQ/stems potentiometers is of no interest, a single potentiometer section but with a button on each side that can switch it either to EQ mode or to stems mode would be more than enough. Moreover, if you have the stems on the pads, it is even more practical than having them on the potentiometers in my opinion.

The screen part as wide is questionable because even if the idea is interesting, it seems superfluous. a classic 10.1" high-resolution screen and a simple quick access icon or button near the screen to quickly switch to lighting mode would suffice.

Especially since this type of screen would be expensive to manufacture and would considerably increase the price of the unit.

I’m not sure that the majority of users use the lighting functions in addition to that.

I would prefer that they integrate a soc with a more powerful GPU/CPU and 16 GB of RAM to obtain a fast and high-quality stem separation instead

Well, AZ is a unit where they combined everything great from Opus-Quad, XZ, A9 and 3000. It’s their first model that doesn’t have any big flaws, where all their other models has. So it’s not a function feast but more of a unit that is done right. I like that they moved a lot of buttons for settings to the main screen, the unit look clean without looking like Opus-Quad.

Comparing to P4+ this has SonicLink, Link Cue, The 3000 Jogwheels, Bigger main screen, better eco system for most DJ’s.

Things Denon can’t compete with for installation:

  1. Club standard layout
  2. Most DJ’s use Rekordbox

The Deck part of the LC6000/Sc6000 is very close to the “club standard” layout. None of the DJs I know are disturbed on this point by switching from a pioneer equipment to a Denon equipment.

This is why it is also necessary to stay in a standard layout also for the mixer part, and this is why the double row of potentiometers on this concept could scare away many users by making it too complicated in addition to causing unnecessary costs.

The rane Performer does very well to switch from EQ mode to stems mode, Although the Shift+Cue is probably not the most intuitive thing. A dedicated button above the cue button would probably be more intuitive.

I would like to see effect triggers arrive on the Club mixers however, like those found on the performer.

Well it’s not ‘club standard’ layout, they have put pads in a different place to their own club standard gear, days after not doing that on another device. Aside from having an effects section on the right hand part of the mixer, I don’t really understand what difference there is.

Calling out a 0.1 inch bigger screen as an advantage is almost laughable, and definitely clutching at straws.

You’re all over the place here tbh, because by the logic of your final sentence Denon will never release a product that can ‘compete’ because they will never release a product that uses Rekordbox. As is naming this proprietary wireless headphone tech that only Pioneer products will ever connect to, and 99.9% of DJs won’t want to use because of latency/extortionate cost of hardware.

I wish you luck with your new AlphaTheta purchase :+1:t3:
