External drive Corrupt at Collection Analysis

Hello, I have a big problem. While I have installed the whole collection and Engine DJ 4.1.0 is running the analysis, after a while it says: External hard drive corrupt. The first thing I did was delete Database2 as described on the Engine website, but that didn’t help. Then I reformatted the whole external hard drive in ExFat. Loaded all the songs back onto the external hard drive and analyzed it again and after a while the same error message came up, external hard drive is corrupt. I have now completely reset my MacBook and the external hard drive again, but the same problem. I’m slowly at a loss as to what to do next.

Welcome to the forum.

There is a bug with MacOS on exfat and Fat32 drives that sqlite was perfectly primed to discover.

The engine team is aware and I know this because a few folks including myself are at the vanguard of the situation.

Good news is MacOS 15.2 (currently in beta) seems to have fixed it (I was on 15.2 and now 15.3 and exports work well).

So in the interim: downgrade to macOS 14.5 or get the 15.2 beta (requires Apple developer subscription).
