With previous versions, you could select more than 2 audio tracks and drag them to a folder on your PC to export those audios. Now you can’t do this, it only allows you to export 1 audio track.
It’s a very big task, if there’s a folder of 250 songs, I have to drag them one by one.
Is there a way to do this? Or how do I communicate so that they can reactivate this function?
Not quite sure what you mean by exporting out of engine onto pc other than using the sync but whatever it is you’re doing you can select multiple tracks by either pressing ctrl-a to select all tracks or hold ctrl-press left click to select multiple random individual tracks or hold shift-press left click to select a group of 2 or more tracks.
Same combination goes for selecting any type of file on windows.
Oh I see, how many tracks do you want to export, all or some? & where are the source files stored ie external usb/sd/ssd or internal storage?
Can you/have you tried to drag an entire playlist out of engine onto your desktop?
Can’t say I ever tried to do this or felt the need to do this as all my tunes are stored on laptop & I only use engine to export to usb/sd after analyzing but I’m just trying to help if I can.
Unless he’s been given a copy of a engine backup usb full of tunes that have been analyzed/exported from engine & he wants to copy them onto his desktop
I think what’s being questioned here is why the files are not on your computer to start with. That’s the normal M.O. - add the tracks from your HDD into Engine, then copy from Engine to your Prime device.
If you’ve only got your files on an external drive, I’d suggest copying them all onto your internal drive. Use the internal drive as source and the external one as a backup/destination.
Once you’ve got the files on both drives…no need to export!
OK so if you’re working directly with the external drive, why the need to export to the computer? Surely doing that (exporting a lot) is going to fill up the hard drive?
You say it’s on the external due to lack of space, yet you’re putting it back again?!
Maybe it’s time to install a bigger internal drive so you’ve got room for everything.
As I mentioned, I need to export, from time to time, the playlist of the songs that were played in a session. So I don’t export everything, just specific things.
I asked DENON experts, and they were honestly surprised that this feature was removed. For some, this feature isn’t important, but for others, it is.
I found a crappy solution. Export the playlist in m3u format by right-clicking. Then, using rekorbox (the free version works), import it. And with rekorbox, drag the MP3s to a folder.
