Engine Synchronize 1.1.3. App alternative tool to sync Playlists

Hello,

I just released a new version of my alternative sync tool for Linux and for Windows.

EngineSynchronize version 1.1.3

The following changes have been made in this release:

Suppression of warning messages when the SoundSwitch folders or STEMS folder are not found. This message appeared for each synced Playlist.

A routine has been added so that Playlists now appear in the same order in the source and destination interfaces. This means that the order of user-defined playlists is now respected.

Added Spanish and English version.

Versions for LINUX AppImage executable file and Windows zip file.

EngineSynchronize-x86_64-1.1.3-ES.AppImage → Spanish LINUX version. EngineSynchronize-1.1.3-WINDOWS-ES.zip → Spanish Windows version.

EngineSynchronize-x86_64-1.1.3-EN.AppImage → English LINUX version. EngineSynchronize-1.1.3-WINDOWS-EN.zip → English Windows version.

Source code of both releases. English and Spanish versions. py files of LINUX and Windows

EngineSynchronize-1.1.3-LINUX-EN.py

EngineSynchronize-1.1.3-WINDOWS-EN.py

EngineSynchronize-1.1.3-LINUX-ES.py

EngineSynchronize-1.1.3-WINDOWS-ES.py

Thanks to tAz-07 for their collaboration in this versión.

I hope someone finds it helpful.

Regards.

thank you very miuch for your work.

I would like to familiarize with the code. I am working on a similar toic,

But unfortunately all stuff is in Spanish and documentation nearly not existent. At the moment it is impossible to work with the code base.

It would be of great help if we had an English version!

Be really good if there’s was a description here, of what it actually does.

These py files have English comments to see what’s happening in every function.

This program is designed to sync playlists, smartlists, history, tracks files, stem files and SoundSwitch files between internal or external drives and performance decks with internal storage to work with Engine Library properly in Linux environment or Windows pcs.

Engine DJ software run well with wine in Linux, but it can’t sync anything. USB drives are not present on the interface and them can’t be used to sync. This proyect was for linux user at the begining, but many people ask me to migrate it to windows too.

This program is an external tool that allows the synchronization of libraries between external and internal drives so that Engine DJ can be used in Linux and Windows environments in a complete way.

This tool mantain the track folder structure in target devices exactly like user defined in their local folder. No Album or Artist folders.

It can be used to extract a text file with the list of tracks saved in History per date.

It can be used to have a copy of Smartlist defined in controllers and save to your local database.

You can see a list of tracks of every defined playlist, with the posibility of relocate red files automaticaly, if you didn’t change their name and they are in the same drive.

Of course, cue points, albumarts, loops and beatgread ajustments will be synchronized too.

It synchronize stem files too, and SoundSwitch files. If you have more than one proyect in SoundSwitch folder, all of them will be synchronized.

Hope this answer your question.

If you have more things to ask, here I am.

Regards.

Thanks for the reply. So what sets this aside from Engine? One of the things I dislike about engine, is that I can’t just point it towards a drive and say ‘here’s where the music is’ and remove the red tracks. Can I do this with your app?

If so, then I’ll pay you for it. And if you’re going to charge, don’t do the lexicon thing and have a subscription, have a one off charge for a license :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

If you see the track list of a playlist in my app you Will see if any of them are red in EngineDJ software.

Then you can repair the path in data base automaticaly if you didn’t change the filename and if these red files are in the same Drive.

This tool IS free and always Will be free. You don’t have to pay me nothing.

:joy:

Here you have a video with red files proccess with my app.
