So, I have a music collection on my PC and have exported it to a SD card using Engine DJ. I then loaded the SD card into my Prime4 and all was well. Next, I made some hot cues and loops on a track and all OK. When I put the SD card back in my PC and select it in Engine DJ software, I can’t sync the cues and loops back to my main collection on my hard drive because the sync manager says there are no changes to sync; but clearly there are as I can see them on the track on the SD card and they are not there on the main collection. Is the Sync Manager broken or am I doing something wrong. Using 2.4.
Hi. I don’t have an answer for your question but I keep everything on a USB and make sure I back up my main USB very often. Life has been much easier since I stopped syncing between my laptop hard drive and the USB.
I think that sounds like the best approach. I have my music collection on a PC, SD card and stick. All I need to do is copy over any new music tracks added to the main collection on the PC to both the SD card and stick and use the SD card as the master on the prime 4, and periodically copy the Engine library from the SD card to the stick by deleting the version on the stick and replacing it with the version on the SD card. It would probably be wise to replace the Engine library on the PC with the latest version from the SD card as well. All this ought to be managed by Engine DJ on the PC but it seems not to work correctly! Thanks for the tip.
tell me how to transfer the entire music collection in engine prime from one macbook to another. now all music is stored in one folder, playlists are created in engine prime
