Engine Prime 1.6.1 => Engine DJ 4.1.0 migration

Hi all! I’m still using Engine Prime 1.6.1. :slight_smile: Now i want to update to Engine DJ 4.1.0.

If i will update my Denon Prime GO from 1.6.1 to 4.1.0 firmware i cannot use my playlists on my USB stick which i make in Engine Prime 1.6.1. Can i save this playlists? Or i only need to delete old library on the USB stick and make all playlists, loops and hot cues in my tracks again by my hands?

Second question: to update library on my PC from 1.6.1 ti 4.1.0 i need first update Engine Prime 1.6.1 to Engine DJ 3.4.0 then update to Engine DJ 4.1.0 right?

Your database is migrated. Although it can be that you need to install some intermediate versions, because 4.1 doesnt import 1.6 directly, I dont know…

If would advise major versions in between updates. 2.x, 3.x and 4.x.

I have MCX8000 for six years. It work only with Engine Prime 1.6.1 or lower. This is reason why i was use old version.

Oh, and make a good backup from your collection! Migrating is always a tricky procedure, and from 1.6.1 to 4.1.0 is probably one of the less tested scenarios :wink:
