Engine DJ 4.3.4 desktop for Mac crashes on start (Mac OS 26.2, Tahoe)

I’ve been a big fan of EngineOS on the Mixstream Pro Go, the Denon DJ SC Live 4, and my new Denon DJ Prime 4+.

So I wanted to start playing with Engine DJ 4.3.4 for the desktop on my M4 Max Macbook Pro. However, when I launch it, it crashes immediately upon startup.

I’ve uninstalled, deleted everything, rebooted the Mac, etc, all to no avail. I’m suspecting there is a hidden .plist file or some other preferences file that’s preventing Engine DJ Desktop from starting, however I’ve searche and cannot find anything that may be buried somewhere.

Any ideas where to start, so that I can get both the desktop version and my Prime 4+ syncing together for a complete solution?

I was just wondering myself, if I could move on up to Mac OS 26.–, Tahoe, on my systems. The 4.3.4 release notes state that compatibility was added. Note to Denon DJ, you need to update the 4.3.4 User Guide. It doesn’t list Tahoe in the compatibility specifications.

@GR8-Ride, did you ever resolve your issue?

I did end up with a solution; I found an app for MacOS called Pear Cleaner, which found a hidden .plist file that was preventing the app from being completely uninstalled, and thus successfully re-installed.

That being said, I’m not that thrilled with EngineDJ on the desktop as software. I love the Prime 4+, and EngineDJ on the controller is great. EngineDJ on the desktop leaves something to be desired, in my view.
