Engine desktop suddenly acting strange adding new/modified tracks

All my tracks are on the SD card, so when I drag any new or modified tracks to the SD card>collection it normally creates a new playlist with the tracks so I can analyze new ones and re-analyze modified ones.

Now every time I do this it creates a playlist with 374 tracks and not just the ones dragged in. Even if I manually create a new playlist then drag over maybe 7 songs the same thing happens.

Started doing this on the previous version and now the same with the new release too.

Any help on this please?

Can you create a video using the desktop screen recorder with your OS and share it? I’d love to see where you are dropping the files exactly.

So strange that this is happening.

Here you are. Instead of creating a playlist with the 4 new tracks it’s creating one with 373 tracks

What happen if you use the fólder icon on the left of engine software to find the tracks and then drag them to the playlist?

Same issue?

Regards.

I can’t use that option as it’s impossible to find newly changed or added tracks. the way on the video worked great until recently.

Thank you. Have you tried dropping into a newly created empty playlist? Just trying to troubleshoot.

Also, does this happen with audio files? I’m not familiar with using MP4 video files with Engine. :frowning:

how come?

does sorting by date not work? ie most recent on top

should not make a difference. i used to have mp4 files as well.

where do you think the 374 is coming from, would that be the entire folder content instead of the 7 tracks been dragged?

Still happens if I manually create a playlist and drag them there. The sorting by date only shows new tracks, not modified ones as there is no column for file modified, only created. I also have subfolders so would have to go through all of them. No idea where the 374 is coming from at all.

As I said it was working fine until recently where dragging tracks in to the SD card collection would create a new playlist with only those tracks.

Only for test: you search in Explorer the files. May be is draging all the result of the search. Can you do It with files located by yourself in any foler and try It?
