Engine DJ needs an improved BPM analysis algorithm that prioritizes the track’s native tempo over the user-defined BPM range. Currently, if a 70 BPM track is analyzed while the range is set to 78–155 BPM, the software defaults to 140 BPM. This creates significant issues when using Tempo Sync, as the grid is mathematically doubled (2x), potentially ruining a mix if not caught manually. The software should be smart enough to detect the true base tempo regardless of the range filter.
