Dual Waveform View - switch Layer A and B on bottom of the screen

Hi there,

Recently I bought 2 LC6000 controllers. I hooked them up to my 5000’s, my setup is: LC6000-SC5000-mixer-SC5000-LC6000

On the right SC5000 I can see my layer A (SC5000) and layer B (LC6000). On the top of the display I have my layer A on the left and my layer B on the right. The waveforms are stacked on the bottom of the screen, Layer A on top, layer B below. So far so good and it feels natural.

On the left SC5000 however I also see my layer A (SC5000) and layer B (LC6000). Again on the top of the display I see my layer A on the left side and layer B on the rigt side. With the SHIFT+VIEW I can change the order, so after doing that, my LC6000 is on the left and the SC5000 on the right.

Is it also possible to change the order on the bottom of the screen? I’m unable to switch the dual waveforms. If really feels unnatural to have the layer B in the left upper corner and the waveform on the second “line”

I’d prefer to have it like:

Layer B – Layer A Waveform Layer B Waveform Layer A

is this possible?

For now I switched my SC5000 & LC6000 physically from position on the left side of the mixer.

I agree that the view when in Dual mode (top section) should be Layer A on the Left and Layer B on the Right. That should be a firmware update absolutely. reading your post were you able to get Deck 1 and Deck 2 on the same screen like running Deck 1 Layer B and (when in split mode) deck 2 running layer A underneath?

What’s up @cyberdj,

Sounds like a great idea. The LC’s have a deck selection feature when using them as a software controller (i.e. Serato DJ) and it would be great to have a similar feature when in use with the SC’s or with the Prime 4. If one doesn’t exist, I recommend submitting a feature request.

this is really annoying me too i have my sc6000m’s and lc6000’s set up the same way and have the exact same issue. Surely it cant be hard to add that feature. Its the only issue i have with my setup and i refuse to put the LC the other side of the SC as i just cant deal with messing up the symmetry it looks awesome on my side all symmetrical but i keep pressing the wrong cue button as im looking at the wrong waveform.

i’d of thought that when the LC connects to a Prime player a message would pop up on the SC’s screen asking what layer to assign it to. You can use the deck select button with third party software but not with Denon’s flagship SC/Prime series media players. It makes no sense why they dont do it straight out the box as they’re touted as expansion units for Prime Players to the point that they’ve been designed to match the SC’s perfectly just without the screen so please Denon fix this before pressing the wrong cue button causes me and everyone else who has this issue any more unnecessary turmoil lol

I’m brand new to the Denon ecosystem. I was wondering the same thing and perhaps addressed in 3.0?
