I have a dropbox on my account where I put mp3 from my PC, and all was good. Since recent 4.2 update and stems, the dropbox content doesn’t appear and show on the screen of the prime4+ or prime go. Only folder name appear and sync, but it is as if the folder are emply, no mp3 is showing nowhere…
What is the problem ? Am I the only one having this sudden issue with 4.2 update for stems ?

I have the same issue. I think it’s a bug introduced with 4.2. So I think the only way we can do is to downgrade (never did it!) or to wait for 4.3 and hope that they’ve fixed the bug.

thanks for your reply. It really looks like a bug, but the strange thing is that there is no more people reporting it…! I did a factory reset, changed even with another dropbox, cleaned dropbox…still the same problem…
What really makes me think it is a bug, is that on both my prime Go AND prime4+ problem is exactly the same…
if someone from engine software reading, help and comment appreciated !!! It is ok to have bugs, but if it is one, please state it so that we wait for the fix and don’t spend hours trying to figure out where the problem is or how it could be fixed out of a software correction…

Same happened now here. Before rendering some stems, all was fine. Now after stems, it doesn’t display any files in my Dropbox :(. Same drive as usual, 4.2 on my SC 4 Live. The files are still available via the history, but it is not able to play new files as they are not displayed anymore. On my Mixstream Pro I am on 4.0, the bug is not there. So it must be a bug, a big one, and it occurres after rendering stems, as 4.2 without stems was working fine.
Ah ok, for me the impossibility of playing normal mp3 in the dropbox happened before I do or act on stems in anyway… For sure it is a Bug, and It would be nice that the Engine DJ team such “say hello, sorry, we are working on it” but may be too much to ask they don’t take for granted that huge bug and loss of functionnality is ok and part of the normal process…
I downgraded my SC 4 now back to 4.1.0. Now it is possible again to access, load and play the tracks like before. This is very important for me, so I decided to “loose” the stems functionalty at the moment as accessing my Dropbox is more important for me. Thank god downgrade was successful. I paid for stems, but cant use it for now until this major bug is resolved.
I had the same problem 2 weeks ago.
I downgraded to 4.1 and everything went back to normal.
When I explained the problem to Engine support. The only message I got back was like “glad it’s working again.”
They should acknowledge that 4.2 is the problem and release a fix
I guess they are not very proud of this big F. up of this core dropbox playing feature disappearing on a major update…may be they will fix the problem, but they are not in a hurry , took them 18 months to give some stemps on the Prime4+, so I guess a fix might not be quick, they are not very reactive and making build often to correct problem…very unfortunate…
Now finally there is 4.3, but no words on the big Dropbox/Stems bug. Is it fixed? I fear to update…
Seems to work again as before, but I didn’t do all the tests yet.
that’s a great news! Crossing fingers it’s working again. I didn’t see any mention of DropBox fix in the OS Improvements and Fixes section
Ok, I updated and tested a little bit. The bug is gone! Dropbox files are shown in the explorer again and Stems working… finally! 4.3. runs flawless at the moment. First gig with it tonight, we will see.
