Doubt on upgrade path

Currently have the previous flagship set dns3700-x1700-s3700-laptop and then this little guy… the prime-GO. I find myself picking up the GO more often, since ease of use is just amazing with remote library. I started using laptop due to the dated music management which comes with the s3700’s. Additionally the driver support for s3700’s has stopped and prevents any laptop upgrade. It’s still awesome technology, but starting to feel dated…

So i am doubting. Any non-downgrade replacement would be a set of sc6000m’s, but should I also invest in the x1850¿ would i be missing features if I kept the x1700 mixer? Any possibility - ideas welcome - to have the s3700’s integrated in an engine os focused setup?

Keep the X1700.

All you loose is quantized FX, everything else (platter color change with fader up, cue button colors based on deck) is just visual stuff.

Don’t get me wrong, if you can buy X1850 to pair it with SC6000M that would be better - but don’t sell the X1700.

S3700 would be best used as controllers for DJ software like VDJ

I use an X1700 with 2 SC5000’s and LOVE the combo. Honestly, after seeing some of the build problems and longevity issues with the X1800 series mixers, I’m really happy to have held onto the X1700. It’s a tank.

You’ll miss the integrated Ethernet hub and engine connect, but you could live without that since your existing mixer is a good one.
