I have a problem since I updated to version 4.1.0, I have two prime 4 plus and a mixstream pro plus, every now and then when I turn them on I have to log in again via the qr code, the problem happens when I turn them on in a place where there is no wifi, but if I turn them on at home where I have the wifi active it doesn’t happen they stay logged in! Do you know if it’s a bug and if it happens to anyone else? this doesn’t always happen, just every now and then,
Yes it seems if the signal is lost it’s forcing the user to log in again. Noticed this in the pub with my Prime Go+ last week when I was using Tidal to stream. Took my phone to the toilet so the controller lost the hotspot connection then I had to go through the faff of logging in again even though I had just used it a minute before.
Again it would be great if there was a specific area of the forum for bug reports actively monitored by staff.
on reddit there is a post where they say it is a bug and that denon is working to fix it! but I don’t see any official communication from denon!
IIRC, Reddit isn’t an official communication channel for the company. I don’t know why people insist on going there when this forum exists and is an active community. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is happening with the profile saving too. I modified a setting in my profile and when I tried to save it to my account I had to log in all over again.
Where can this be reported or do I have to raise yet another support ticket?
apart from the fact that I am here on the forum almost every day, I don’t understand where the problem is if one visits reddit, in the meantime there are users who have written that they have the same problem! Here until I opened the post no one raised the issue of this bug, so what is the problem with going to other forums?
You are not alone. I have two SC5000m’s and a Prime 4. Sporadically, when I turn on the units, the QR code will show and I have to pull out my phone and go through the ENGINE PROFILE login procedure again. This is quite annoying as I’m actively playing a gig when it happens.
I can’t see any pattern other than perhaps me owning multiple units and this is causing a malfunction in the ENGINE PROFILE maintaining multiple player logins.
I hope this is addressed soon either through an update or a way to bypass the ENGINE PROFILE login.
In other words, if people are complaining / raising issues outside the official forum, it likely won’t get the same amount of attention and/or community support.
FTR, I am on there daily and point people to this forum the the above mentioned reasons. =)
Irrespective of that, there’s not an actual bug reporting mechanism, is there?
We either have to hope someone from In-Music sees the issue on here or we go through the hassle of raising a support ticket.
The only way is to tag something as bug-report
. If it’s common/serious enough it will get attention.
I got more involved in the community here because of an issue where the SC6000Ms had a serious slowdown issue and the Denon support team was very non-responsive. They would take weeks to answer questions and even their own questions were repetitions of stuff I shared in the forums.
FTR, i’m not an employee, just a community software engineer who loves the intersection of software and music.
This happend to me twice last week during a set and a customer asked for a song i didn’t have in my local library and my wifi would randomly lose connection despite my phone remaining near the device. The only thing that made sense to me was if my hotspot was also linked to my apple watch. Hopefully this does get addressed.
Every time I’ve visited Reddit, and in particular the Denon Prime sub, I’ve come across someone who is telling a blatant lie in response to a persons query. The same goes for most of the DJ related subjects on there, it’s a cesspit of trolls, liars and s—tposters who say what they want without anybody vetting it.

Someone from InMusic will see the issue, that has always been the case on this forum for anything reported. As far as we know they could be working on a fix and asking people to test it as we speak, most DJ companies have Beta programs whereby bug fixes will be rolled out to testers prior to live release.
@djveleno this applies to your comment too, just because something isnt visible to those of us in the public domain, doesn’t mean it isnt flagged and being worked on. How do you think all the previous bug fixes and feature additions came about? The same goes for Alphatheta, Serato, VDJ, Traktor etc etc.
At my gig just now and surprise surprise logged out of Tidal.
Its taken several goes to get logged in. Every time you have to log in to the in music link {it doesn’t remember) then give permission to use your profile which is just stupid.
Any chance this could be looked at as a matter of urgency?

I also have news! In addition to the login problem that continues to disconnect, another problem has arisen! I would like to point out that my Prime 4 Plus White is only two weeks old! The new problem that I thought was a hardware problem instead seems to be a bug! After an hour of setting the screen suddenly turned off, then I restarted the console but when I moved the screen it turned on and off; then today I turned it back on and the screen did not turn on without being touched! After moving it it turned on again! Now after having downgraded to 4.0.1 it does not happen anymore! I have tried in every way but it does not happen anymore!
Probably best to raise a support ticket.
It is concerning however how long it’s taking to fix bugs introduced in a new software release.
Have you confirmed that you have clean power and ground on your electrical?

tonight it started doing it again with 4.0.1 too, so I’ll have to send it back under warranty! It’s a screen connection problem! It does it when it’s all the way down and when it’s halfway tilted, and when you move it it turns on and off! I’ve already opened a ticket with in music! Let’s see when they respond! The console is only two weeks old, luckily I have another one just like it and also a mixstream pro plus, so I’m not stranded!
