Devices keeping time when switched off

There is no risk in replacing a battery if you are careful with the connectors and ribbon cables. Best is if you manage to replace the battery without disconnecting anything.

I had a quick google and it looks like it’s not visible when you take the bottom panel off. Will do some further digging.

That’s a Panasonic CR1220 3V battery. At first I thought those were 2 separate boards. But, now I realize @djliquidice said, “with the heat sink removed”.

My DHCP server provides an NTP server in its response, and every time I’ve turned on my device it’s had the appropriate time.

Not sure if this has any impact, but wanted to mention in case it helped you to find a solution.

Yeah same here, trouble is my Prime 2 is used solely for gigs, so I may go one gig to the next without turning it on at home. And even then in its current state if I turn it on at home then go to the gig, the time will still be wrong as it won’t count during the journey.
