I trying to understand with all the new updates, there’s no update to the search engine for drives for player. I currently have 3.1.1 and still very poor on the search engine. In my opinion, its probably the most important tool for any dj.

Hi, this has been offered as a potential solution.
- Backup your library using the built-in backup system for the internal library (and copy the ‘Engine Library’ folder for any external drives to a safe location)
- Try searching for any track in your library for the first time (use a stopwatch to check how long it takes) - Must be the first time you searched since connecting the drive since subsequent searches will be faster
- Connect your external drive that has slow search on hardware device to Engine desktop software
- Wait until all jobs in job monitor complete (updating track list etc)
- Navigate to Settings>Library. Scroll down and click on ‘run cleanup’
- The job may take some time dependent on your external drive speed, so be patient
- Once cleanup has completed, connect the drive to your hardware again and try the same search term as you did previously (ideally after the updating banner has disappeared from the main collection view)
