Denon Prime Go right channel weak/low static master outputs

So I tried to play music with 2 speakers balanced xlr cables for the first time and for my surprise one of the speaker didn’t sound as good, I noticed a radio like distortion and the signal was weak, I tried swapping the cables and speakers, and the problem was my right xlr output.

I tried factory reset, (no luck)

Today I took it to an expert in fixing mixers and pioneer products, let see how long does it take and what could be the issue

I’ll keep you guys posted

I had the same problem, so I reverted to Jack connection and it worked perfect Also try putting your unit into mono believe me the sound is as good .hope this helps you mate

Thank you for taking the time to reply, When you mean “revert jack” can you elaborate? And yes mono sounds a lil bit better for some reason but didn’t fix the issue.

Try using a XLR to 3.5mm jack stereo Using the XLR in your unit and the Jack into the speaker also by using mono it may actually sound better as many many clubs do this hope this is helpful

Ok I will give this a try, my friend owns a pro audio shop hopefully this is the answer, thanks again @Gerard_Oreilly

Unfortunately xlr to 1/4 did not work for me, after several test the master right output is the problem, we tried xlr balance and rca right channel and both were giving the same static and low/weak output comparing to the left master

However booth is a whole separate channel from the master so we were able to get a clean sound using a balance 1/4…

For the meantime I see no weakness in this only I wouldnt be able to use the master just the booth, but overall quality is the same as long as you use a balance cable

Furthermore we will try to find out the main cause of this, and how we can fix it, so in the meantime using the booth channels instead of the master outputs is temporary fix

Judging by the posts on the forum and on the internet in general, it could be just a loose connector from the I/O board or a dirty volume pot.

Seems such portable units get handled a bit harder in transport and a exposed a bit more to the dust so you get issues like this.

Piggybacking from last week I took a picture at the master outout signal, you guys can visualy see a right weaker signal

*about a bar less than the left channel

We tried disabling the crossfader but still weak and distorted

Thanks for the info, we’ll have it look with a second tech next week, that do make sense, it should be an easy fix
