Denon Prime Go Plus touch screen not responding

Recently, the touchscreen for my Denon Prime Go Plus is not responding after booting up. Can proceed with anything because the touchscreen won’t respond. I got it to work one time and did the update, but since then it just won’t respond and I have to turn it off by holding the power button for 10 seconds. I’ve tried a factory reset as well, didn’t work.

I got the same issue at some point and fixed it.

In my case, it turned out the ribbon cable connecting to a little doughter board for the digitizer (touch input) had to be reseated in the connector to function. I also made sure to put some capton tape to secure it and help resist to vibrations.

Of course, it’s not meant to be user serviceable, so proceed at your own risk if you decide to open it.

If you decide to open it, upon removing the back panel, you’ll find two big doughter boards. One being the sound card (it has all the audio input and output ports) and the other being the main/carrier/mother/computer board (it has the power and data ports). Carefully fold them away and you’ll find a big free spot under them that’s not covered by the big controller buttons board. It’s the screen that’s behind the plastic shell and it has two ribbon cables coming out of it. One large and longe one that goes to the MIPI(?) input on the computer. That’s the display input for the screen itself to display an image. There’s another one that seemingly has a little PCB on it right from the start and it’s much smaller and shorter. That one is the digitizer ribbon cables that I am talking about and that I had to reseat in the small doughter board I’m talking about. Also, while being there, I made sure the pin cables connecting from that doughter board to the computer is also well seated and that was it.

Of course, if you don’t feel comfortable with that or prefer getting service done under warranty, please bring it to a service center near you. Any competent shop that services CDJs should be able to figure it out. You can also show them my reply if it helps them getting faster to the potential issue.

Really appreciate the input, super helpful!

I have the same issue on my prime go+. It gets very little use and always well protected. I’ll open it up and reseat that ribbon cable.

Did you get yours fixed? Been traveling but will open mine up in 2 weeks.

This, this, this. I read so much nonsense about software when all that was wrong was that this ribbon cable needed to be reseated. This machine is delicate, pack it carefully.
