Personally, if I had to choose a compact battery-powered stand-alone device, I would be much more tempted by mixstream pro go than by prime go, for two major reasons:
-
the size of the jogs, which are far too small for my taste on the prime go. The larger the diameter of a jog, the more precise it is, because during a bending adjustment, a movement of identical amplitude will travel a shorter distance on a small jog than on a large one.
-
The general layout of the mixer is better thought out on the Mixstream Pro Go, with vertical EQs and the presence of two effects triggers that are found on current battle mixer.
For me, the ideal form factor would be slightly larger than the Mixstream Pro Go, allowing true 100mm pitchfader and 8 pads per side instead of 4, while retaining the mixer layout of the current Mixstream Pro Go.
