Hi There I’m Using Virtual dj on my Mac book pro with DENON PRIME 4 . eVERYTHING WORKS FINE as stand alone mode but when i’m turning on computer mode the gain of the output is more then +6 db lower. I have to push the GAIN FROM denon from 3 to 6 db. The other problem is that when i’m trying to record in my laptop through virtual Dj the gain is very very very low.I have to normalise every time my recordings because they are written very low. It is a colmpletely different machine. I can’t figure out where i can open the gain level. Hope somebody can help.
Because it is. When you are using your expensive standalone dj system as a controller with DJ software you are using it as a very expensive keyboard. Every knob and button sends just a midi message to the laptop that gets picked up by the DJ software - the software controls (almost) everything.
So once you know that you go to virtual dj manual for using the prime 4 and under “Inputs and recording” find this: “If for some reason you don’t want the Microphone inputs to be recorded, or the recorded signal is low, you can remove this line and your mix will still be recorded.”
That’s normal, it depends on your software. serato is lower, Virtual Dj not too much. And the sound quality is different too.
