Denon Prime 4+ and Serato Pitch 'n Time

Hi everybody, should the Serato Pitch ’n Time feature work on the Prime 4+ out of the box, or do I need to purchase it separately?

Thx for the reply, but I can’t understand why it’s “special feature”. It comes with Prime 4+ as a standard and have even hardware button for key sync…

That’s a question for the Serato forums.

They used to be selective about which plugins were given with which controllers. I remember getting a video sub for free and also a pitch n time. Must have been the Pioneer SX2 or the MCX8000 but I can’t remember which. Their model has changed lately to put them in to packages.

Ah ok, got it. Thank you for sharing info. One of my Serato DJ friends is planning to play a gig on my Prime 4+, and he actively uses key shifting. I checked the Serato website, and the package that includes Pitch ’n Time costs $350. I think it’s pointless to spend that much money on a bunch of unnecessary features just for one useful.

Your friend would be using there own laptop and Serato, wouldn’t they have already purchased the correct features they need for their performance?

Yeah, as @0ddw0rld said. He will use his Serato DJ with his expansion packs and plug the controller into his machine.

He has Rev5 and as far as I know his Serato License tethered to his hardware. He needs probably bring it to the gig.

It should still work.

If he got a free code to use the P’n’T it unlocks it for his account so as long as he’s logged in it should work.

I’m almost sure this is the case.

Ok, thx a lot, will check that. I am former Traktor guy and have no experience with Serato

Traktor was my jam too. Tried Serato with the P4 as I missed using my turntables with DVS, didn’t much care for the way Serato worked with the P4 so never went past the trial.
