Hello! I’ve upgrade my SC Live 4 with Orico clip-type usb hub and 25 cm 90 degree usb-usb (left-right) cable. Maybe someone will find this useful
thank you for sharing!!!
nice one bruv
I’m just imagining what would happen to those flash drives if someone collides with them whilst asking for a request etc. ![]()
They’re right in the line of fire, and because the hub is secured, if the drives get pushed…
Also not really seeing the point, as you can only only use one source at a time anyway.

With so many fears you can use small size usb drives.
Requests? Nah. Never lol
And you can use more then one source. For example when you change another dj
For me access ports on the back panel is a kind of balancing act.
Anyway - every samurai has his own path
I have the same hubs with my Prime GO and SC5000, great little find.
Useful when swapping drives often and playing alongside other DJs. I usually keep the hub resting on the cables in the back and just lift it when I need to add or remove drives (but this also may come with the risk of disconnecting if the USBs get loose over time). Might actually try this approach, thanks!
i have another version of this with the sd card reader. i bolt it to my booth top and it works flawlessly.
Do you not have a booth? I can’t see a scenario where someone would accidentally knock those usbs unless you had your decks just below your chest on just a table
any event I ever do I’ll funnel people to where I want to take requests from and all of my gear is 99% protected short of someone tripping and launching their entire beverage my way ![]()
Oh wow a blast from the past! It’s not so much what I have, but how/where people set up in general. It’s not just my opinion either. In a review of the latest CDJ player, Mojaxx bemoaned the removal of the SD card slot, and mentioned the precarious nature of USB sticks plugged in vertically. I guess you’d call it risk assessment these days. ![]()
The internal SSD drive in my Prime 2 gave me a significant reduction in worry at gigs, nobody pulling that out.
Exactly! My Prime 4 has an internal drive, and both my old HS5500s had internal drives too. Mind you, those did attract attention with their spinning platters and 7” vinyl fitted…
