Denon DJ Prime Ultra Concept Design

Hey Everyone.

Had an idea for a concept controller based on the rumors of a Denon DJ “Prime Ultra” according to this reddit post here!

So even though I am like everyone else and have no clue about this release, I’m still very invested, and would nonetheless like to share my idea of what I would want this product to be like, regardless of how crappy my design looks (this is why I’m doing music ed in college instead of digital design lol).

So here it is, in all its not-so-much glory.

Hopefully other people like the idea and concept as much as I do, and hopefully Denon will release something like this, or announce the actual product soon!

Anyways, thank you all for viewing & reading, stay safe, and take care.

If some “leaked” info is on Reddit … well, then the new product is probably being beamed down to Earth by space aliens

Still, a little fun with photoshop can be therapeutic- just don’t get as upset as some do, if every one of your ideas isn’t taken up fully on the hinted leaked next model

When I first saw that post on Reddit I was like…What more can the Prime 4 (+) need…its a full unit that offers everything.

And cant wrap my head around What more can be offered in a Ultra-version.

Massive moving platters I’m guessing is what people are asking for, at that point it’s not much lighter than a pair of 12s and a DVS mixer, not my idea of comfortable but to each their own.

Multiple screens, both performance and library.. possibly Soundswitch. Or those ultrawide screens as seen on modern car dashboards.

I wonder how much those screens cost, they look expensive in the cars I know that

We already have a mockup/idea sharing topic somewhere here. Anyway, here is the one I did back then:

„Prime X“

Keeping size and weight (<10kg) the same, but optimize the surface spacing and internals. Jogs increased from 6“ to 7“ but not beyond that.

I would like to see user replaceable channel faders and cross fader on new gear

That would be very nice… Good idea…

People want a full club setup but want:

  • to pay less
  • one screen so they can visually beatmatch
  • less cables to connect

Cherry on top is when they put it in a flightcase because it cost a lot and is difficult to transport.

And a user replaceable view button

What I miss the most on my SC6000 is 4 small LED screens, showing when I change from HOT CUE to STEMS, SAMPLE etc.. … Instead of the printed labels on the top plate

But thats only because those damn Denon Dj devs keeps giving us more features. :joy:

(Pssst… Keep them coming)

A Denon version of the AZ is a possibility a motorised version would certainly be my preference. It has been relatively quiet this year so far so I look forward to hearing so news as to when new hardware is available
