Hello guys,I have problem with my Denon dj Prime 2 microphone inputs. I connected microphone with XLR cable ( Shure sm58 dinamic) no sound coming thru the master out.i try 3 diffrent cable different microphones as well.The talk over works the led flashes if I talk but no sound coming to speakers. microphone was tested on other gear and works.Speakers also connected to master out with XLR.firmware also updated to 2.1.1. I try everything but no result.
Have you pressed the “on air” key ?
Can you explain for me what is the on air key? Thanks for your help

The “on air” key activates the microphone. After you have done your moderation, you just click it, this deactivates the microphone then. If you want to use your microphone, the “on air” key have to light up.
otherwise it´s dimmed.
on prime 2 this is rectangled key called “on”. at prime 4 there are 2 round buttons.
in a very small case - the mic attennuation level is setted to high, then lower this fader in preferences, too.
normal microphone settings for prime is: attennuation at -3dB and threshold at about -50dB. This have to be setted for auto-turning on/off microphone, if you dont press the button to deactivate, to avoid feedback through your main pa.
Thanks for your answer.I did try everything but no signal coming thru.I think maybe is hardware problem.There is an option to send mic to monitor speaker but still nothing.
Okay. Then I recomment to let check your device at a repair-center. Sorry, that it doesn´t helped.

Hi, Are you sure you haven’t connected the speakers to the Booth outputs instead of the Master?? Because if you have connected your loudspeakers to the booth output… it may be that the microphone is not active at the Booth output, it will have to be activated in the “Utility / Preferences” menu of the P2 and if you have indeed connected the loudspeakers at the Master output and the microphone does not work, there is indeed a problem with the product.
When you tap or speak into the Microphone, none of these LEDs are green or almost orange. be green for it to be active)
Hi.I connected my speakers to master out.when I talk the light is working (green and also red if you turn the mic volume up).if I press the talkover button and talk to mic the music volume drops as it should.But no mic sound coming out on speakers.
Okay ! It’s as if there was a Mute mic mode on the master output 
Have you tried installing an OS firmware older than 2.1.1, for example 2.0.2, to see if the problem is present??? Old version
Had you tried to perform a ram dump of the P2 by unplugging the P2 and then pressing the power button while holding it for a few seconds, it should turn on and then turn off on its own.
Nothing special in the manual, if it can guide you to perform tests
No result still nothing:( i install the version 1.6.1 same result.the ram dump also not doing much.
