Hi all, has anyone managed to get DVS working with the 2000F MK2 dual CD players?
I have owned the players since new and have just been playing them at home. I’ve since unpacked them after not using them for 15+ years and just learnt about DVS and am keen to know if I can use my existing players and if all buttons function with the software?

Tehnically, you can use ANY cd player for DVS. Once, for troubleshooting purposes I even used a CD discman. But, only functions you’ll be able to use on the players that are: play/stop/pause and pitch fader. Usually you need a separate midi controller to handle all other functions in the software like track browsing, loading, cue points,…or use the laptop keyboard for that.
Personally, unless you already own a DVS interface and software, I see no use for the combination with dual deck CD players.

I don’t own any DVS hardware or software. I just got into that rabbit hole after seeing so many YouTube videos using time code CDs or vinyl. It seems DVS is the new normal?
From my perspective it would have been nice to be able to use my mp3 collection as aposed to burning CDs but the thought of always needing to get my hands onto the laptop to load and cue songs isn’t quite appealing.
I need to buy a mixer so I’m going to have to decide which way to go as some have DVS functions built in?
