i didnt understand sorry for my worst english

PC it’s called Recyle Bin. Where is the Recycle Bin in Windows?

Mac it’s called Trash folder. Where is the Trash folder in Mac and How to Clean it?

Typically, when files are deleted they go there so you have a chance to recover them. They still take up space until you clean them out of there.

I think @pim_pam means he deleted them in the Engine Desktop application

Stems are probably like playlist entries in the software

If you delete an entry with the delete key, it only removes the entry for that track from that playlist, it does not remove the track from your hard drive.

To delete a track or stems, you have to select them and right-click and “remove from hard drive”

Keep in mind that Engine Desktop works like a kind of directory that allows you to organize your tracks.

Each entry in this directory is just an indexing shortcut to the original sound file on your hard drive. Deleting a track or stem with the delete key on your keyboard will delete the indexing shortcut, but not the source file itself.

@Gaian Correct. Engine DJ adds another layer of confusion. It would be helpful if there was an FAQ that explained how to delete stems and purge them from the drive. I can foresee them lingering all over the place.

What did you do to delete? Choose the files in the Stems playlist? Or right click and choose „delete stems“ in the context menu? The latter should delete the stem files as far as I know.

Thank you, it’s just the expression I didn’t know

there is not "remove from hard drive” only remove stems i did it

you’re right “purge them from hard drive” but know you how?
