Cue points …

Do I have to have a sata drive to save my cue point .. I just got my prime 4 plus I don’t hav3 a computer which is why I got it . If I connect a sata drive will it save my cue points ? right now everytime I turn it off and on all my cues points are gone ..thank u

I’m guessing if you haven’t created an Engine database on a PC then there’s nowhere to save the cue points to.

The Prime 4 isn’t really standalone. You can play files from media directly but without a PC you won’t unlock the full features of the unit.

I believe the database is created nonetheless, but the prime devices have no feature to add tracks to this database.

given that this question keeps coming up once in a while, isn’t is time for a feature request? Select a track from the file browser and have it automatically (or optionally) added to your database?

My guess he is using streaming and is wondering why his cuepoints are not saved.

The only thing we can conclude from questions like these is that people do not read manuals for equipment that that costs upwards of 1000$€£

Actually, if you drag a streaming track from your history list into a library playlist, the track is referenced in your library (or at least is was in a previous Engine OS version)… I wouldnt be surprised if this way you could also save beatgrid and cue/loop info in this library item.

That brings us seamlessly to the user manual: many user manuals of many types of devices aren’t complete. Some features (like the above) aren’t documented at all… Others are documented poorly…
