I’m using A Prime 4 internal 1 TB HD and Prime Go 128 GB SD Card hardware with the Engine DJ Software. I’m using my iTunes Music Library and have the music imported to my Engine Collection. Firmware on both devices are up to date, Engine DJ 2.1.0 running on a Mac up to date. 2.1.2 hardware
I’ve created cue points on my Prime Go using my SD card, then synced my SD card to the Engine DJ to update my Engine Collection. Then I synced the Prime 4 with my Engine DJ collection thinking I can get the cue points created from the Prime Go. Unfortunately the cue points do not show on the Prime 4 after syncing, and if I do it in reverse by creating cue points on the Prime 4, the Prime Go will not see the cues after syncing.
The goal is to be able to sync my music CUE Points between both devices using Engine DJ software and if I do cue points on one device and sync it to the Engine DJ software and sync the Denon Go I should be able to sync and pull in those Cue points as well. I’m not seeking a work around but a resolution to the syncing issue within the Engine DJ software. If it’s NOT a feature Denon offers using multiple devices, then a request in the next update would be great!
Any respectful help is appreciated!
Update, I called Denon DJ Support and we resolved the sync issue without any work arounds, if you need the answer feel free to DM me. FYI, If those that don’t want to deal with the trolls in this community just call Denon Support, they are great!!
Yeah i use it all the time.
You can copy the drive WITHOUT using engine at all.
Guess this is another one tha cant read.
If you save all your cue points onto sd card.
Now put sd card into prime 4. CAN YOU SEE THE CUE POINTS…
Lets work the problem methodically. If you csn see them on sd card then its something your doing wrong somewhere and we can narrow it down. With the extremely scant info you give (drive size sd card size. Platform etc) we have to do a lot of guessing.
If you cant see cue points on sd card then its within your first steps where the problem lies
the databases are stored in the engine folder.
( in the manual and all over this forum as to where they are).
If your going to run the same library on both units then rip the internal drive out and stick it in an external usb housing and use it direct on both units. Then you only need to update one drive…
Or you could list what firmware your using on each unit what vesion engine on what platform. And then list your exact process.
Just trying to belittle somebody taking the time to try and help you isnt going to end well really. As in “work it out yourself”
Where they said? It’s ridiculous, what if I’m the creator of some tracks?
I have already asked about this behaviour some time ago… seems Denon staff like to loose customers because this kind of decisions. I call my Prime 4… The all-bugs-in-one
If you dont know how to copy something on a computer then well
Therefore i deem you beyond help until you actually learn how to use a computer. Then when you have maybe you could learn what the search button is for.
Then when those basic bits are mastered, ask a question and instead of thinking everyone knows ■■■ you are doing without explaining it properly by giving ALL the relevant details, then you may get the help you’re after
When you talk please stand up cos when you talk out if your ar5e its all muffled.
Take the card put it in a card reader and copy it ctrl c or cmd c mac. If you copied them onto card…
Jeez i give up with this…
Explained clearly AFTER how many edits.???
Go away and work it out kind sir.
When you do finally work out that based on your ORIGINAL post the info you gave with the problem was sparse to non existent.
Then you just want to have a pop at people asking for more info and trying to work.out what your doing.
In answer to your post now edited. Are you saying you are using the music files on your internal drive and trying to create cue points on sd card…
Go figure it out…
Clue…
Create cue points in engine then sync to both device’s using sd card…
I’m not sure what’s so difficult to understand, he obviously wants to do his prep work on the mobile prime go and transfer that work to the rest of his collection. You suggesting completely different workflows is not even attempting to answer his question lol.
Curious, why would you reject something that was originally created in 2019 and has no current traction? We’ve been through numerous updates and none have addressed the 2019 request, that’s why I re-submitted the request. Yes it’s a duplicate because I wanted to give the issue some new life and new momentum.
But no problemo, I spoke via phone with Denon Support and resolved the sync issue as well as sent up the request to having the ability to copy, delete, rename and or move files via usb, sd, and or external drives. He agreed even though I told him it’s been noted on this discussion board since 2019. Being pro-active is very necessary here…
