Cue Button not working on deck 2 - Prime 2

Hello. Im using Prime 2 (firmware 3.3) with VDJ and I got the following problem: on deck 2, pushing the Cue button does not play the song or jump to the first cue point. On deck 1 everything works as it should. Is that a compatability problem with the software or is it a firmware issue. Please help me out. Thank you!

If it works in standalone mode you have a problem with VDJ, not with Prime 2.

I’m having the same problem with mine, but intermittently. This has happened in both standalone and with VDJ.

Next troubleshooting step is seeing if it happens with vinly mode off.

If it doesn’t happen when it is off, that is then a grounding issue with power. Due to that, your unit thinks you are touching the jogwheel.

A grounding issue with power? Sorry, but I dont understand how does power relate to vinyl mode. Can you be more specific, please? Thanx.

The platters are capacitive touch, so they rely on a small current of electricity from your fingers to recognise touch. Any electrical issues with the unit will impact this function, as will any shoes, clothing or surfaces you stand on that may create static.

Vinyl mode means the capacitive wheels are in full mode.

I got it. Thanks! So basically, nothing to do about it, just turn of vinyl mode and if it that works we are lucky

No not at all, try some troubleshooting steps like turning vinyl mode off to see if it starts to work.

Then look at things like trying to remove static from your body or the environment you’re in, perhaps try to use the device on some hard flooring etc. You can also look at improving your power cable and where its attached to the mains, maybe a surge protected extension?

If all of it fails but turning vinyl mode off works, its possible you have bad grounding so you’ll need a new part for your platter, which requires a repair.

Thanks for your tips. Apreciate it!
