Crossfader not operating on Prime 4+ or Numark Mixstream Pro

Hi, I’m having a problem with the crossfader on my standalone controllers (Prime4+ and Mixstream Pro). I updated to Engine 4.1 recently and now my crossfader doesn’t operate properly. On the P4+ for example, when I have Deck 1 set to A and Deck 2 set to B, and I move the crossfader, it’s working like I have it set to “thru”. Same thing is happening on the Mixstream Pro. (There is no thru setting on it though) It’s just that it doesn’t fade from Deck to Deck. Has anyone else had this problem? Or do you know of a fix for it? I’d very much appreciate any info. I can’t seem to fix this.

Have you tried installing 4.0 and see if the problem is solved?

All this to understand if it is really a software problem or coincidentally it is a hardware problem that occurred in correspondence with the software update.

EDIT: Before downgrading from 4.1 to 4.0 make a backup of your library, as you surely had the database update when you upgraded to 4.1

Good Morning DjAj, I was doing some deeper research and I found some older posts about people having similar issues, but these were way back in Engine 2.0 & 3.0. It seems that back then if you had your channels set to “thru” when you updated, the crossfader stopped working. It was suggested to downgrade Engine DJ, put the switches to A & B respectively, and then do the software upgrade. So I am going to give that a shot and see if it works.

     But my other concern is that the Mixstream Pro doesn't have a "thru" switch. So I'll have to look into that one a little deeper and see what possible solutions I have to fix that one. But I'll keep the progress posted here. 

     I really appreciate you responding and giving some advice. I'll keep you posted onthe progress!
