Hi Folks,
bought a brand new Prime Go and from the first mix there was something disturbing occurring during transitions when I was using the cross-fader.
I already know what the annoying problem is ;(
Any ideas what do do? Similar problems?
Below short video. This happens only on the left side.
Thanks for this suggestion! For sure worth to try. DeoxIT seem not to be available locally.
“WD-40 Specialist Fast Drying Contact Cleaner” will do the same?
I’ve never used that particular one… But it says for cleaning sensitive controls and contacts and leaves no residue… That is the most important… No residue… With that said it seems to be very similar to what i recomended.
No. If you are to use any fader cleaner I would suggest DeoxIT, also if this unit is brand new I would suggest getting an RMA for repair other that trying to fit it with chemicals. It might void your warranty.
You’ve absolutely right.in this case, have just a RMA created. Maybe they will try to clean this on their side first. PriGo is well packed and waiting for FedEx.
In todays electronics potentiometers are not cleaned with chemicals.
They are bad - exchange! Faders and pots are not sealed, what goes in, will pour out. Clean Your fader (maybe - 50/50)… but it will pour out from the fader and drip on your electronics - then the problems will start getting more expensive…
I work in electronics every day - bad fader - exchange. Chemical cleaning is a device killer…
