Crates copying tracks to new crate

Hi all. Thank you for advice on my previous question about adding music to my prime 4.

I have made some crates named trance but I want to set up another crate for vocal trance.

My orginal crate for trance i have gone through (painstakingly) made sure all the tracks have the correct beat grid and added some saved loops, my question is there a way I can copy (not completely move) tracks from my first crate into my vocal trance crate.

I do not want to have to beat grid and save the loops all over again if possible.

As mentioned I would like to copy not move as I want the orginal still in my trance orginal crate too.

Thank you very much in advance.

If you could answer me as a beginner as I am learning slowly and get a bit lost sometimes.

Thank you for your help and time

Normally it can be done, you can have the same track in multiple crates. Have you tried to drag the track while holding down the CTRL key?

I will give that a go, thank you

Moving a track to a different crate doesn’t erase your beatgrid and loops. You should be able to just drag the song into the new crate and it will add it without removing it from the original crate.

You’re not talking about moving the files on your computer are you?

Nope just exactly how you ahve said it should work. Thank you so much
