Control Stems on Prime 4+ with an external midi controller

It is extremely inconvenient to manage hot cues and stems at the same time, but it is essential to be able to use the stems properly. Is it possible to map an external midi controller to manage the 4 stems on the decks?

As of today, NO.

You can make a feature request in the appropriate section.

Ive got a feature request in for a tablet companion app, it has precisely zero traction.

I feel like things like this and the recent touch screen FX request would benefit from being usable on a phone or tablet connected to the device.

I would also like to see something like a companion app like the old Serato Remote app.

What would be quite good would be the ability to plug an Akai Pro LDP8 or similar to control stems and stem volume via the encoders.

Asking for my Pio SP1 would be a little too far but if they kept it all in-house with Akai Pro then that would be nice.

They even do Bluetooth wireless ones:

Classic.

I gave mine away as it needed new clicky CUE buttons after years of use. Loved it though.

this would be perfect, 4+4 on/off with led on/off, and 4+4 levels

That is such a cool idea! I have an Akai LDP8 too. :slightly_smiling_face:

Maybe a “no external hardware needed” solution would be an on-screen control of stems …. 4 faders, four on/off buttons …… per deck of course, all on the touch screen
