Connecting TD-3 to X1850

Hi !

Does someone here running synth or something similar on X1850? I would like to add TD-3 Behringer for some live acids but have no idea about connection, i´m guessing Midi port will be not the only thing i will need to connect right? (or at all) … i would appreciate some advice

If this is not correct section to ask this, let me know … thanks

No, you’ll need to connect it via audio as well - I have a TD3 and x1850 as well - I’ll try it out when I get the chance

That would be awesome, thank you … yeah it will need to go on one free fader i think, so it would make sense about audio

I have something similar but the same would apply. I have 2 SC6000’s. XONE:PX5, Roland T-8. The mixer gets the BPM from what’s playing. Config the MIDI on the mixer to send. Config the synth to receive MIDI. MIDI cable out from mixer to MIDI In on synth. Make sure they are both configured for the same MIDI channel. That’s to keep the synth in time to what’s playing. Simply route the output from the synth to a free channel on the mixer for the audio. BTW, How are you liking that Behringer? I’m always looking to add more spice to live remixing.

Your Roland T-8 already has the 303 bass sound onboard.

Thanks, i will try that when it will arrive later this month … it´s a great piece from earlier testing, obviously original Roland would be better but who have that kind of money for it lol so Behringer´s knock will do it, maybe adding some distortion pedals to give it that Ramon Tapia juice

If anyone fancies messing around with some classic Roland sounds, there’s a site called Roland 50 Studio where you can play with SH101, TB303, TR606, TR707, TR808…
