Cannot get X1800 to stream to OBS on Windows via USB

This is my current set up:

USB1 (windows / OBS) USB2 (mac / VirtualDJ)

The MacBook air is able to do both, but it’s not very powerful laptop (otherwise I would run everything through VirtualDJ). I’m trying to reduce the amount of resources each laptop uses.

I have switched the USB’s round and it makes no difference.

Have tried setting it on broadcast mode (works on mac but not windows), tried changing to channels 1/2, and also tried 9/10.

…Just thought, I don’t mind ditching OBS for an alternative if there’s a better option.

Then why not swap and run OBS on the Mac & VDJ on the Windows laptop?

That’s a good point.

I’m pulling multiple cameras and VR into OBS - the mac can’t handle it all.

Sounds like you need a new computer then

The X1800 can’t do what I’m trying to do?

Did you install the ASIO driver?

There’s a reason why most live streamers are using 1 camera most of the time when using the same computer for djing or at the most 2 cameras on a separate Mac.

I bought the Atem mini pro for video switching because my Mac treats it as one 1080p camera plus I rather have the fans go wild on the unit instead of my laptop which was way too much.

Yep, the X1800 diver buffer is above 600.

That’s my thinking too. Would be awesome if I could split things across two laptops via USB.

I hope your windows machine is not a Dell.

I guess we’re stuck trying to get good audio going into obs on a windows machine. One of the last things I can offer is to check OBS to see if you have all the proper up to date plug ins.

I thought you acquired a UCA soundcard? or was that someone else.

That’s a screen shot from my streaming PC.

My set-up -

  • Serato (music videos) running on Mac or standalone (engine)

  • 2 cameras connected to stream PC.

  • NDI porting videos from mac to PC as well

  • Booth out from mixer to Behringer UCA 202

I keeps the input volume on the UCA202 between 50 - 60% otherwise some electro noise and interference becomes audible…but thats what 20 quid gets you.

I may have found a solution…

install this plug in for OBS

Basically it allows you to choose any asio channels from the mixer connected…just tested with my S11 which has the mix out channels on 5 and 6

That’s exactly what’s needed.
