I have 2 SC6000’s. The one with the internal hard drive I turn on first. All of a sudden, I can no longer see the internal hard drive. I do not see it on the 2nd player either. Rebooted a number of times but still can’t see the internal drive. Turned Player 1 off and unplugged power cable, blue usb cable, rca’s going to my mixer as well as the Ethernet cable. Reinstalled power cable and turned unit on. Now I see the internal hard drive. Then reinstalled all other cables and internal hard drive is visible on 2nd player. Great I thought…. Then turned both players off and then back on. No internal hard drive shows up on either player. Anybody have any clue what can be causing this? Thinking about doing a factory reset as I’m running out of ideas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
To better assist you and tear down the issue, we need some more information:
- EngineOS Firmware Version installed on all units? SC6000s & X18xx
- EngineDJ Desktop Version? Mac or Windows?
- Manufacturer, Type and Size, Firmware Version of the used built-in drive
- Format used (eg ExFAT, HFS+)?
- Volume label Name
Thanks for circling back to me. Much appreciated!
I factory reset both players and now I see the internal hard drive. I can’t explain why this worked but have purchased a new hard drive just in case. Will monitor going forward.
