Buzzing/ distortion from x1800

My x1800 mixer is making a distortion noise and the outputs are acting all strange. Can denon fix this issue since a lot of owners are experiencing the same issue?

I would contact support to see what they can do or if it’s a known issue that needs solving.

Anything can go wrong - and for a mixer there’s lots of things that can create a “buzzing distortion noise”

The very old and (for some years now- resolved) “known” issue with an x1800 buzzing was caused by a loose ground/earth connections to casing inside the x1800.

The way of telling if your mixer has got that issue, or a totally unique issue is to see if the buzzing is audible if you only connect analogue devices.

If you get buzzing on analogue connected devices but no buzzing with only digital devices connect then it could be a remnant from the old known issue. If you’re getting buzzing with both analogue and digital connected devices , it’s a new problem

Awesome thank you for the insight! I usually run just xlr’s out to my monitors and that’s the audio that’s getting wonky at times. Also in the headphones at the same time. I will check the digital outputs and see.

It ■■■■■. ran into this years ago. Open it and fix the ground issue, problem solved. There are some old posts with how to fix the ground issue.
