Please help…Thank you in advance!!
-
First make sure your serato library is in order.
-
Run scan tag ID in Serato DJ first
-
Sort Serato by the first column. It would show all your missing files if any.
-
remove all missing tracks in Serato.
-
Exit Serato
-
Rename all the Engine Library folder you can find on your laptop
-
Start Engine DJ (should be empty)
-
Navigate to the Serato tab, update serato (wait till it’s complete), then right click on the Serato collection and import the whole thing
Mufasa Thanks for your reply I did exactly as you said and I’m a 1/4 of the way through and still 2 crates did not go through they were analyzed but didn’t appear in the crates I don’t get it It shouldn’t be this hard to do it I’m sure it will be 8 crates not going through to the crate section when I’m done and 6 out of the 8 crates are important in my library!!! WHY!!! there are no youtube videos there are no answers so far not an Engine DJ fan!!
What happens if you try to add the 2 crates afterwards?
Are you on PC or Mac?
If Mac, did you give Engine DJ all the required permissions as per this guide
STU-C nothing it goes through the importing playlist and it doesn’t come up
Mufasa i Have my Windows PC Desktop doing the analyzing when I DJ it’s a MacBook Pro
The playlist names don’t have any strange characters in them do they?
Are the tracks contained within the playlist appearing in your overall collection?
the tracks appear to be in the overall collection because they were analyzed but no crate for them which is super weird I wonder if I can pull it up by Crate Name (Album Name) and create a playlist for it? what do you think like I said its only 8 crates out of over 300 lol
Yeah that would work, then just manually create a playlist and drop them all in.
If you have your computer folders organised the same way you can just drop the folder into the playlist and all the tracks will appear that way.
They aren’t smart crates by any chance?
Do you have any other crates with similar name?
Does the crate show up in the serato panel in engjne dj?
yes the crate shows up in the Serato panel in engine DJ
you could try making a duplicate of one of those crates in serato.
create a new crate eg “hiphop crate duplicate” , then drag the content of the original crate to it.
update/refresh serato library in engine dj and try adding just that crate to engine collection.
