Beatgrid is what?

One thing I have noticed that if you press the sync button to many times as in on/off/on quickly it throws the grid out of alignment, I have to use it sometimes because I’ve got some wonky old records that I recorded which I didn’t realise until I decided to grid them all & in a way tells me I was actually better at beat matching on my old turntables than I gave myself credit for as I just dealt with on the fly.

I’m actually using Apple Music so it would be good if someone from Denon could actually acknowledge the issue.

I don’t use any of the streaming services, I’ve still got the 2 months free subscription that I haven’t claimed yet from a year ago & I don’t even use my amazon sub either although I get plenty of deliveries from em & watch plenty of crap.

Who’s Denon?

Put into text so people can read it, Serato Studio currently has a smarter beat analysis than Serato DJ software, so any (non stream) tracks with live drums can be analysed in Serato Studio, then when loaded in Serato DJ the beat grid will accurately follow the tempo changes.

The one caveat Mojaxx mentions is that “the one” has to be in an obvious place, as there’s no way to shift it.

The tech is clearly there, just not in Serato DJ itself, but the speculation is that it might not be too long before Serato users get their fluids.

This is where the dynamic grid analysis in recordbox falls over for me as well, without the ability to pick the first beat any non beat intros get messed up until it picks up the first beat, after that it’s ok.
