Backup and restore Wirth connected Dropbox account?

Coming from Rekordbox being I have the Rane System One, In Rekordbox I was able to link my Google account and have it sync there god forbid my laptop is stolen or craps out I can buy a new one, log in to Rekordbox and the google account and restore and it brings the files, database and so on to the new MacBook, nice and simple

I can’t seem to figure out how to do this in Engine DJ with Dropbox, I have it connected and used sync manager to move 5 files to dropbox, that works great, then as a test I deleted the engine folder and opened engine, all I see is the 5 dropbox files which is great but can’t see how to restore them all and the playlist. the “drive” column just shows all the tracks are on dropbox personal.

As of current time (February 10, 2026) Engine doesn’t back up anything but the main Database 2/ :open_file_folder: on local computers.

That’s why I create the DB on the actual drive. It’s easier then to clone it using Synchredible or any other backup tool.

all my stuff is internal but I have it set to copy and backup to my Google Drive so at least the engine folder is saved elsewhere. you can export the db and files using dropbox file sync in Engine but if it all goes down or stolen, there’s no easy way for engine to bring the files back down and the upload does not keep you folder structure like Rekordbox backup did. doesn’t matter, im using MIXO now and it syncs also
