Are other Denon/Numark products getting Engine 4.5 to match the System One?

I think part of my issue is that I use Engine the alternative way, adding files from within the structure on the drive to create the DB on the drive itself and not using sync manager. The main advantage in doing this is that I can easily transfer playlists from VDJ via iTunes as the files are in the same folders and drive location.

The negative side in this instance is that I need to update them both separately as I don’t have a “collection” as such.

Based on the fact that the System One is indeed excellent and far easier to use, I’ll probably put my Prime Go+ up for sale, so if anyone in the UK is looking for one let me know!

I do as well. I think you can still use two versions this way. Run cleanup with the new version and reimport track info with the old version. Waiting a bit is also an option.

Moin @Homeland101 ,

thanks for your prompt reply. This will be worth to wait for ver 4.5 for the other gears (e.g. Prime 4 and Prime 4 plus)

Enjoy the evening and brgds BeatMaster

Put my Prime Go plus on eBay last night and it has sold already, so I’ll just be using 4.5 on the System One going forward. Thanks for everyone’s help.

Cpu is way faster and more memory on Rane SOne.

I don’t think you will have this particular update on older devices.

Can’t wait for realtime onboard stem, Djay pro has it

The stems won’t be realtime on the System One, you will have to select them to be analyzed in the background.

Rane promised it for 2-3 months

It won’t be the same thing, Djay analyzes the stems every time you load a track and in any case there is a minimum lag (very negligible), Engine will also analyze them on the System One in the background only the first time you request it, the analysis will be much slower but once done with each new loading of the track the stems will be immediately available without lag

Correct , the stems separation wont happen instantly but pending on the length/size of the track that determines the :alarm_clock: rendering.

Hi you should rename engine and database folder

Hi, there isn’t 4.6 yet.

As soon as the System One Rumors began to surface, I sold my 6-year-old Prime 4. And although I’m really looking forward to eventually purchasing the Rane System One, I hope I won’t have to sell my Prime Go. I prefer the portability of my Prime Go over my old Prime 4.

However, this 4.5/ 4.3.4 database confusion needs to be sorted out before I purchase the “System One.” :face_with_crossed_out_eyes: :face_with_monocle:

you can change the wave forms but it looks much better without those 3 colors

Dang, I eventually want to purchase the “System One. Even though I already sold my Prime 4 (for a really good price). I definitely do not want to eventually sell my “Prime GO.” I rely on the Prime Go’s small size when I take it back and forth to my job, as I carry it inside my backpack. I’ll just wait until iNmusic sorts out this 4.3.4 & 4.5 database confusion/problem before I purchase the “System One.”

I never installed Engine DJ 4.5 on my PC. I updated the System One to 4.5 (and now 4.6) and plugged my current 4.3 playlist drive in and started playing. Everything is there including album covers. Light control, Cue points, Streaming list info, Stems….all there and performing normally. I still use 4.3 and have updated my flash drive several times since owning the System One. it just works as normal.

Short version: I pulled my flash drive out the Prime 4 and plugged it into System One and started playing with no issues.

Hold onto your Denon Dj Prime Go it is a keeper, I have paired it up with Algoriddim DJay pro and a Ipad works great minus the screen being blank, but it keeps the Denon DJ name alive. Engine DJ should be implemented on the next research and development process for standalone, the technology is there to do it, maybe a partnership with Apple ? The future of Denon DJ products would be unstoppable. Heck I still own a Denon receiver from the 1980’s and it still pumps out some outstanding sound. Yes I stand by the Denon name, as for anyone who owns quality music equipment, quite sure a Denon product is being used. I await patiently Denon always delivers may be a wait process but they have yet to fail.
