I am always interested hearing about Vplayed from John from India, he seems to be VERY passionate about it to bump a 4 months old thread.
Haha yes, well spotted. A quick Google reveals that a “person” of the same name has posted randomly elsewhere around the web, also mentioning that particular site…

Exactly, paying for a track or streaming subscription just covers personal listening rights, not public performance. DJs always need to factor licensing into their costs if they want to stay legit.
Sorry, I don’t get the problem - we have way more than “just one or two” streaming services available, no?
- Tidal
- Soundcloud
- Beatport
- Beatsource
For all devices, with
- Apple Music
- Amazon
on top, for newer hardware.
This is more than plenty, and more than any competitor offers (including most software, e.g. in Serato you still can only play from one streaming service at once). As for Spotify, it’s not Engine’s fault that they don’t want to play nicely with DJs - all a matter of licensing. Oh, and downloading aka “converting” from YouTube is one of the biggest No-Gos for any serious DJ.
@Skaratak you’re replying to a spam bot powered by AI: had 1 previous post that looks ok but posted/liked nothing until now where he comments 3 months after the last reply, recommending a random yt downloader tool
Ähm…Tidal nicht vergessen.
