Analize internal folders and sub folders workaround

This is a workaround to the major lapse of denon on the standalone software…the lack of an analize or refresh option for the folders and sub folders on the internal hard drive of your DENON PRIME 4.

follow denon intructions to install the internal hard drive onto your controler and install the denon prime engine on your computer .

1- connect your denon prime controller to your computer in controller mode

2-copy the folders and sub folders onto denon prime 4 internal ssd driver through windows explorer.

3-once all folder copied…open your denon prime engine software and create a new crate on your denon prime 4 internal library…

4- drag the folder FROM YOUR DENON PRIME 4 INTERNAL SSD AND DROP IT ON THE CRATE YOU HAVE JUST CREATED…

5-wait for denon prime engine software to finish adding and analyzing all the files to the crate…

6-Once completed…delete the crate from your prime …eject your controller from the computer software and load the standalone mode…

7- now all your internal library should be analized and available by genre …bpm…key… lenght etc…

this worked for me …and everytime i add new folders i just re do this operation for the individual folder im adding and i have all my library allways analized and available on the search … make sure you follow connection and pairing instructions from denon official sources and remember…this video is only a non official workaround .and just in case i will say it!!in case anything goes wrong…i will not take any responsibility for any library corruption or track damage that any of these operations …

Others like @mufasa and I use the external drive (or internal SSD acting like external USB) as default collection location since the beginning of Prime.

Works great. Good workaround steps for others that prefer this route.

I meant: By managing the collection on the internal SSD using the Prime4 in computer mode, it essentially acts as an external USB drive. That’s what you described above and is exactly what some of us already do.

yup i got it :+1: ill be honest tho…since i got the prime… ive only used it in standalone mode specially cos i really dislike serato library concept and analysis…and im not sure if it was a bug…but i wasnt able to analyze the folders on theengine software on my laptop…not copy the library…not entirely sure why…but this was the only way it worked for me…:unamused: ence y i struggled at first …but all good now …this way seems to work for me and i read on here lots ov people moaning about not having a refresh or analysis option on the standalone software for internal folders nd subfolders ence y i decided to do the vid… hopefully like u mentioned…will b of help for people like me that preffer the standalone…nd the whole library available… im loving the prime tho !!:heart:like religious ly loving it !! :joy::joy: hopefully new update will b out soon with a few more tweeks …
