Album art doesn't update when re-import tracks

  • Product Engine DJ 2.1.0 for MacOS

  • Steps to Reproduce

  1. Add track to library with album art with “Artwork A”
  2. Update the track’s album art to “Artwork B” with another piece of software (MP3Edit)
  3. Re-import track (no change, engine dj still displays Artwork A)

  • Expected Result: (ex: It does X…) Artwork A would be replaced with Artwork B upon re-analyzing

  • Actual Result: (ex: It does Y…) Artwork A is still the album art in engine dj. I have to remove from library completely and re-add to collection in order to see the change.

  • Reproducibility: 100% – every time I’ve done it

You don’t need to re-analyze to update artwork. Use re-import track information.

my b i meant to write re-import in the initial post, but yeah, neither work. editing original post to reflect “re-import”

Try deleting artwork a from the file first, sometimes it will add 2 artworks and engine will keep using the original piece.
