Add Broadcasting Mode To Prime 4+

So this feature I only found out existed after look at the X1800 PRIME and X1850 PRIME on YouTube and this feature is a game changer for DJ’s streaming to twitch or OBS.

Essentially the broadcasting mode feature is that it sends audio from channel 1 and 2 or channel 3 and 4 through the USB B output to your pc using USB A that way it saves DJ’s a lot of money as they don’t need to buy a Audio Interface.

The USB connection is disabled when using the unit standalone.

This device physically can’t do this.

I wished it did because this would make it easier to stream audio to a streaming service

It’s not.

Broadcast mode is a marketing name for a settings shortcut - for a feature that was ALWAYS there, just required manual ch re-assignment.

Instead of manually changing USB input/output channels in settings (that you could do since the launch of X1800 in 2017) now you have that shortcut that just does it automatically and puts master output on 1/2 USB ch.

I used Audacity to record master on 1/2 ch, Traktor and Rekordbox to record master output on ch 9/10 way before broadcast mode was added

Just buy one of these for 20 quid: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0023BYDHK?ref\_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1

You can do this if you use external dj software such as serato/virtual DJ for your mixing sessions but not from standalone mode indeed.

There are little standalone hardware encoders you can get if you really didn’t want to involve a computer.
