7 inch Displays on standalone controllers

Hi to everyone out there!

I just wanted to know is there anyone out there that struggles a bit on reading the 7 inch displays like I do on the Numark mixstream pro go controller and the Denon DJ Prime 2 controller.

I have a vision problem and I just wanted to know is there a way that I could connect a tablet rather than a whole laptop to use as a external screen to use at the same time as the controller screen in mirror type mode without going into pc mode?

Is there anyway that engine dj can input that into a new update for all 7 inch display controllers please..!

I’m sure I’m not the only one struggling on this it would be greatly appreciated guys.

Cheers in advance

There’s nothing possible in terms of plug n play - so it’s a Macgyver / Blue Peter / A-Team solution that you’ll need

Try Webcam / GoPro pointing at existing screen, connected to whatever size hdmi external screen that works best for you.

You could try something like this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DX6SSC99/ref=sspa_mw_detail_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9kZXRhaWw&aref=xaFHnQJPTE&sp_cr=ZAZ

Just slide the base under your equipment & adjust the magnifier into position above the screen.

Okay thanks for that.

There’s mixed reviews on that on Amazon

Would the remote library feature with the laptop work for you?

Virtual DJ is obviously the absolute best solution but you need to own virtual DJ.

I’m not saying that exact item but something along those lines.

Besides 3.9 out of 5 ain’t bad, your always gonna get people that moan because it doesn’t do 100% of what they expect, but for £25 I’d give it go.

I can check it out I guess

I don’t own a laptop only a tablet

Do you not have a computer for your library management?

I don’t have one hence standalone controllers I use, got all my music backed up SSD drives while I use Usb sticks and SD cards, I use tablet to move tracks to usb sticks etc

Way to go 80s on this thread XD

GoPro was 2004.

if you were about to suggest using the Primes / Mixstream Pro HDMI out port, …… there isn’t one

Macgyver / A-Team are 80s .

Given how much my supposedly powerful laptop messes itself when I plug a couple of 2K displays in, I’m kinda glad. I can’t imagine the Prime units have sufficient graphics cards to facilitate anything like an external display, even a none HD one.

Two more reasons to switch anti-bump back on lol

I too am in the exact same situation as you are. It just so happened that a few months earlier I had purchased a laptop stand.

it was this one from Reloop.

https://www.avshop.ca/dj-equipment-laptop-stands/reloop-stand-hub-laptop-standusbhub?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21391469254&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwZDFBhCpARIsAB95qO0OCoicFWtDfSALDo1lVUi-56kUBtHfVAQK7LrJV4A2zUYsbO8OawEaAqaEEALw_wcB

I would recommend that you find something cheaper than this stand, but the reason why I wanted to share this one with you was because of its flexibility and available positions that you can put the product into.

I found that this stand was good for elevating the prime goal or in your case the Numark go into a better angle for you to see.

This is rather unfortunate that at current levels of technology the blind and visually in parent are being excluded from what I believe is the future of DJing.

In the meantime, while this is not a perfect solution, it does make these units much more useable for someone and maybe perhaps yourself to take advantage of the latest and greatest in technologies in the industry.

If you want to reach out to me to discuss our options, please feel free by searching for ShaneTheDJ. www.ShaneTheDj.com

Okay I see brings the display closer at an angle looks good :+1:

Shameless self promotion for the win.
