4.1 - SC Live 4 Soundswitch - Deselect "play all banks" button

Specs:

  • Denon SC Live 4
  • Engine OS 4.1
  • Standalone mode
  • Engine Lightning running in PRO mode

Once you go into the “autoloops” menu you can see that the button “play all banks” has been selected / enabled by default. Pressing the button or any of the bank names does not result in the button turning off. This means that:

While running pro mode, your lightning control will continue from the last autoloop of bank 1 to the first loop of bank 2. Last autoloop of bank 2 to the first of bank 3. Etc, etc.

Expected behavior would be to deselect the option so that the last autoloop of bank 1 would start the first autoloop of bank 1 again.

Fix: Go into “preferences” and disable “show advanced options”. The UI will transform to the basic style. At the bottom of the screen under “Lightshow style” select one of the lightshows. Does not matter which one. This will disable the option “play all banks” as you can also see by the last clickable button “play all banks” which goes from green to grey.

After this, turn “advanced controls” back on (if you desire) and the “play all banks” button will also be deselected in pro mode.

Edit: As mentioned down below, press and hold one of the bank buttons. This will select the bank, lock it and deselect the “play all banks” functionality.

If you press and hold one of your four banks at the top it should turn off “Play All Banks” as you’re selecting a specific bank.

Thank you so much for your reply!!! This works like a charm, i guess the problem was pebcak. Is this behavior documented somewhere? Design-wise it makes sense that the button works 2-way (this behavior is present on the “basic” mode) but right now it only allows enabling the feature.

I’m not too sure if it’s documented to be honest. Maybe in the new 4.1 manual but I’ve not checked yet on the Engine downloads website.

The possible reasons could be because by turning off the bank would need you to select a new or existing bank. If you have a light show that needs a specific cue then there is no room for error, but I’m just guessing.
