2x SC6000M Linked -- Songs playing on linked player but not found on player w/ SSD?!

Just noticed something super weird. Finally got a replacement SC6000M after mine bricked w/ updating Motor 04.04 issue

Linked my 2 players.

Player1 w/ SSD installed shows missing files (red) that I cannot play as ‘file unavailable’ but Player2 using Player1’s SSD via link shows ALL files as available and plays them!?!

what the hell is going on here? Anyone else experienced this → Songs not playable on the player with the drive, but are fine on the linked player?

Super weird indeed! Does this show up in Engine DJ? What are the specs of your internal SSD? Also, have you done a Filesystem check?

Just trying to rule things out.

haven’t connected player to Mac yet to see…

internal SSD is a 500GB MX500 Crucial.

*also just reanalyzed the files in question… started unit again in standalone… still not found!?

ok… so found something.

the songs in question that aren’t available/not found on source player BUT available on linked player (& EngineDJ computer) are all the ones that all have ‘dots’ in a “packed” column.

what is the the packed column!?

I thought packed meant it was copied from the main library to the remote device.

Yup

Packed means you have exported the song from your main library to your performance drive.

Think of it as packing a crate of records

ok… but that doesn’t make sense in this scenario.

the main library is the SSD in the device??

yet the device cant find or play the packed songs on that installed SSD… but that same SSD when connected to EngineDJ finds/plays those tracks fine… or a linked unit to that device w/ that SSD finds/plays fine?

Have got exactly the same issue with my 2 sc6000s, red files on main player with usb inserted, while linked player can play the songs without any issues. Engine desktop library does not show any missing files (normally that would give issues in library software: as it would do in competitor’s software such as rekordbox)

Hi @rabc, I wanted to report that I ran into this on my setup as well.

I can’t dive into this anytime soon, but I can replicate it and will do some digging in the DB to see if i can find a source. I’ll also escalate this with a bug report once I can find the time.

Just an observation that all those tracks don’t have Album Art.

Is this because they don’t have it or engine dj did not import them?

If it’s the later, try a reimport info in engine library on desktop.
