hi I have one track still trying to get analyzed. When I bypass this and try and transfer to my external drive it says it’s corrupted. How do I locate this one file thats causing all the issues. Thanks
There’s probably something wrong or different about the file
Is it a standard 4 or 5 minute file ?
It might be worth converting the file from its correct audio format to a different audio format… if there’s something corrupt in the file then the audio conversion process should unknowingly not convert the glitch
hi @Anthony_Medigo ! Welcome to the forums!
You can try to analyze them in batches to figure it out. Example is grab a folder analyze. Works well? Grab another folder? Does that folder break things? Start from scratch and grab batches of files manually to analyze. This is all simple troubleshooting via isolation.
What OS are you using?
I’m using Mac. Latest software. I’m trying to analyze my playlists independently in engine to see if I can isolate it that way. Are you suggesting analyzing the file folders? What would I use to analyze the raw files? Thanks for your help.
Are you using Sonoma? Also, what is your storage medium?
I am assuming you’re only using engine and files that are stored somewhere in folders. This is what I am speaking of.
yes Sonoma. I have recordbox and Serato on the computer also but only syncing the external hard drive with engine. Yes the files are stored in a my master file list which I use for all my downloads.
If you analyze all the tracks in Serato do you have any corrupt files?
Corrupt files have a sign
If it’s one file I would just delete it and move on.
A couple of great tools which I swear by are:
Windows: https://mp3val.sourceforge.net/
Mac: triq.net - MP3 Scan + Repair App
There’s many more but these always find the goods for me. I had the same issue. One mp3 would cause issues when analysing and I ran it though mp3 scan + repair and it worked a treat. It’s always been good over the years.
